Scout. Strike. Hold the line.
Command a combined drone-and-infantry force on a procedurally generated hex battlefield. Issue your orders, then watch them resolve — against an AI that fights back.
Drones War is a single-player, turn-based strategy game in your browser. Scout the fog with recon drones, strike with kamikaze and bomber payloads, push infantry to hold the ground, and starve the enemy by cutting their supply — then take the HQ.
Recon drones lift the fog of war and mark targets before you commit a single strike.
Recon, kamikaze, and bomber drones — each with a distinct range, payload, and role.
Push squads forward with per-unit advance or hold stances to take and anchor ground.
Earn Supply only from territory linked to your HQ. Cut the enemy's lines and their pocket starves.
Spend Supply on a short tech tree: drone range, recon radius, strike damage, cheaper production.
A mirror-AI opponent with adjustable handicaps, plus weather, EW jammers, and random events.
Send recon drones to reveal terrain and tag enemy units.
Hit marked targets with kamikaze and bomber drones, or call artillery.
Advance infantry to seize and hold the key hexes.
Connected territory feeds Supply back to your HQ.
Invest Supply in production and the tech tree.
Expand the front and destroy the enemy HQ to win.

Yes. You command one side against a mirror-AI opponent with adjustable difficulty handicaps. Online multiplayer isn't in the cards for now — the focus is a tight solo campaign against a bot that genuinely fights back.
It does. Your battle persists in your browser between sessions — close the tab and pick up the same campaign right where you left off. Each match is also deterministic from its seed, so a given start always plays out reproducibly.
Any modern desktop or mobile browser. The interface is mobile-friendly, though a larger screen makes it easier to read the board and plan your turn.
A hand-built web stack — TypeScript, PixiJS and React — with no game engine and no install step. It's an indie project built in the open; the Telegram channel @drones_war_game follows the work as it ships.
